New Pokemon! OMFG!!!

I'm super excited about the new Pokemon games X and Y coming out in October! Is anyone else as excited as I am? Not only can you ride your Pokemon like mounts, but it is in 3D! No more side scrolling and walking only up and down, we can walk diagonally and sit on benches! Such an improvement on the old games. I'm also super excited for the new Pokemon coming out. Have you seen Sylveon and Mewthree? The legendaries look super awesome as well. I like the flying red one, Yveltal. He looks so brutal! I made a picture with all of them together because I couldn't find one online. Also watch the trailer below.

I've been looking forward to a Pokemon game like this since Pokemon came out! I just hope that I can migrate my Pokemon from my Pearl game. I'm going to be buying a 3DS JUST to play this when it comes out! So stoked!!! XD

Zombies, Run!!

So being a geek/gamer you wouldn't really think that I would enjoy exercise as much as I do (what a stereotype huh??) But I do. I love exercise and I love me some ZOMBIES! So what better way than to mash up the two?Zombies run is an application that is available on the Iphone and Android. It is a new running application that records your distance, speed, as well as offers a little twist. As you run you listen to radio broadcasts from some survivors who have you run errands, talk to you, talk to each other, and bring you out on dangerous missions where you encounter hordes of zombies. When you encounter these hordes you have to run at a certain speed in order to get away from them. A notification alerts you to run faster or that you got away from the horde. Throughout your run you also pick up items which you can use to build up your survivor base once you get home.

Also while running the app uses your own music to fill the gaps in between broadcasts. I recommend creating a separate play list of songs you would like to hear on your run so that you have a choice, otherwise the app will just grab one of your play lists and use only those songs. I have never had so much fun running before and Ihave never been motivated like this to continue running. For me personally I have trouble running at a consistent speed for long amounts of time. This app makes me go go go! I love it and now it has been tweaked so you can use it on the treadmill, perfect for when you cannot run in extreme weather conditions. If you have either of these phones and enjoy a good run, or maybe need some motivation I think this app is perfect for you. This app does cost money however but it offers two different training programs. The full game is 7.99 and the 5k training is 3.99 I purchased the full game so I am not sure what is included in the 5k training. If your interested then check out the link provided below. Happy running and I hope you survive!!

  • For those of you who have the app: what do you love or what do you think should be changed about the app?
  • Does anyone have any other apps like this one that they would like to share?
  • Does anyone have any other tricks for running or motivation?
  • Do you think this might help motivate you to run?

Gears of War: Judgement

The newest installment into the Gears of War franchise looks to be fairly promising. Damon Baird and Augustus Cole back for a look at the days just after Emergence Day. In with a new crew: "Kilo Squad" is accused of treason during and early battle against the locust.

Trailers for Gears games have always been phenomenal. Amazing music, wonderful graphics, and they always get me properly pumped for the game to be released ASAP.

I've seen a few videos of multiplayer gameplay. While most of it resembles gameplay from Gears of War 3, I noticed a few more vibrant colors on armor, and subtle diffrences in character models. New female CoG Sofia Hendik peaks my interest. I'm all about the female CoG soldiers.

The Gears of War wiki has a list of weapons to be used for the game. Among these, there is a listing for the Hammerburst 2. For those unfamiliar, the first Gears of War game featured a different style of the Hammerburst than in the sequels. I happen to be very attached to the original hammerburst style, and am incredibly disappointed that they have chosen not to improve upon that design for a game to come FIRST in the timeline. :(

It may be obvious that the first Gears of War was my favorite. The game literally changed my life. It was the first time I had been introduced to online gaming with a shooter. Instantly I fell in love with playing with friends, randoms, or whoever would join my games. Multiplayer games were set up into customizable player-hosted matches. Players would search for a game, choose from a list of hosts, enter the game, and stay in that same game until removed by the host or the game ended, which meant playing as many matches as you could with the SAME PEOPLE. Call me crazy, but I seriously miss this style of multiplayer. The matchmaking system isn't terrible in my opinion, I just prefer the way it used to be. However, I'm still incredibly excited about the very idea of a new Gears game!!!

Hurray for internet!! It brings us together to butcher, disfigure, and execute each other!

It's that time of year...

...for HORROR and HALOWEEN!!!

Not only am I excited for the Silent Hill sequel (took them long enough), I'm also looking forward to Tricon!

I know for sure I'm going to be there with Stavros Cockrell, the photographer who has taken all those vampire pictures of me (and he also co-wrote the book some of my other pictures were featured in), but hopefully some of my other ladies will be there and we might have a special little surprise for those of you who attend the con;)

I might also dress up as Vanessa Valentine for Halloween,I'm not sure yet.

It's like Vincent Valentine except with curves and a little more leg.

Either way, I'll be dressing up as something, if not numerous awesome things, for Halloween and the accompanying parties.

But really, where did the summer go?!

It was just my birthday at the beginning of July and now it's September.

Oh, well, I'm having a good time. How about you?

To follow up Sammy's last post, I'm going to post my personal favorite band, BUCK-TICK.

They're very dark with their lyrics and imagery and particularly here, in the video for Romance.

So it's Jrock and Halloweeny and Gothy. All good things!
